The protagonist would be Keisha Montgomery, a senior at Hazelwood High School. Keisha was depressed and sad and she didn't listen her parents. She also had a questionable relationship with a student track teacher named Jonathan Hathaway. She soon realized that her mom was right about Jonathan. "Be careful Keisha," her mom warned. "Don't let this go too far. He's so much older than you are. That frightens me." But Keisha didn't listen. She didn't realize it until it was too late. (page 152)
The Antagonist is Jonathan Hathaway, student track coach from the University of Cincinnati, who is also the Principal's son. Jonathan seemed like a nice guy with good looks. He asked Keisha and they dated. He took her on a few dates each time he did he showed her respect. But one night Jonathan tried to engage in sexual moment with her but Keisha wasn't ready and wanted to leave. But he wasn't going to let her leave. Keisha yelled “Unlock the door you pervert!" Jonathan pulled out a knife and said," Silence! Do as I say and you won’t get hurt. Relax. That is what I been trying to tell you all evening. Just relax." ( page 195)
